Kids Corner Rules
• State Law allows us a MAXIMUM of 18 children at any one time.
• Please see Kids Corner staff in order to sign your children in and out.
• We hold yours and your child’s Membership ID while attending the Kids Corner for added security.
• Kids Corner is for children ages 6 weeks old to 4 years old.
• There is a two-hour time limit for children to be in the Kids Corner.
• Please label ALL items brought with your child, sippie cups, diaper bags, toys, etc.
• Report violations of the rules or damaged equipment to the YMCA staff immediately.

Food Policy
No snacks allowed , juice in sippy cups, and breast milk or formula for your children are allowed. We do not heat or warm bottles. Bottles should be brought to the Kid’s Corner at room temperature.

PLEASE LABEL ALL ITEMS.

The Kid’s Corner Staff reserves the right to discontinue services to a member for any reason of non-cooperation or the inability of a child to adjust to the program.

PARENTS MUST STAY ON THE PREMISES WHILE THEIR CHILD IS IN OUR CARE.

Health Issues
Your child’s health is an important issue. In order to keep a safe and healthy environment.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR CHILD AT HOME FOR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING REASONS:
• FEVER (presently or in the last 24 hrs.)
• FIRST 24 HRS AFTER A SHOT OR ANTIBIOTIC
• FUSSY, CRANKY-generally not normal disposition
• DIARRHEA

IF YOUR CHILD IS ON OR HAS JUST COMPLETED AN ANTIBIOTIC TREATMENT AND EXHIBITS ANY OF THESE SIGNS HE/SHE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN THE KID’S CORNER. A DOCTOR’S NOTE MAY BE REQUESTED IF IT IS SEEN NEEDED.

TIME OUT:
We adhere to providing a safe environment for the children. Children that do not follow the rules (i.e. hitting, biting, unruly behavior) of the Kid’s Corner will be asked to sit in time-out. If the child continues to be uncooperative, we will notify the parents and they will be asked to take their child out of the Kid’s Corner. If these actions repeat themselves the child may not be allowed back in for a certain length of time, the Director of the Kid’s Corner and the YMCA Director determines this.

Cry Policy:
If your child cries and is inconsolable for a period of 20 minutes, we will contact the parent and ask that the child be taken from the Kid’s Corner.
